Here is a recipe for Chocolate Truffles they are super quick and only have a few ingredients.
Prep: 10minutes or less. Yield: 16 truffles
all you need is:
9 oz. dark chocolate, which is a scant 1 and 1/4 cups chopped.
7 Tbsp. Heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract {optional}
1/4 cup cocoa powder {optional}
{I used the Pound Plus bar of 72% coco from Trader Joes. Chocolate chips don't work because they have additives.}
Here are the steps:
Put your heavy whipping cream in the microwave and heat in 20 second intervals until warm.
You could heat it in a sauce pan until it just starts to simmer.
Chop up you chocolate. the finer you chop it the quicker it is to melt.
Now you put the chocolate into the warm cream and cover for five minutes without touching, then stir carefully and try not to incorporate air bubbles.
Once it is done it should look like the picture above, if their are any chunks of chocolate left you can heat the whole thing in the microwave in 10 second increments. Do not let burn.
Chill the chocolate in the fridge for 2-3 hours or until the chocolate mixture is almost completely solid.
Next, use a Tablespoon-sized scoop or a Tablespoon to scoop out small balls (see photo), then use your hands to gently but quickly roll/form the chocolate into balls.
Now you can roll the truffles in coco powder or leave plain.
Enjoy right away or put in fridge for 1-2 hours to let firm up, if you put them in the fridge it is best for them to come to room temperature for 10-15 minutes for best results.
Hope you like these truffles!
Also, here are the pictures of my puppy, which I got last Saturday. Next Saturday I will show you some of the toys she likes and where to get them so stay tuned! :)
She is a white/yellow Labrador, she is 9 weeks old and her name is Violet. Isn't she cute?!
