How To Be the Light Of the World

Since Jesus is the light of the world we need to accurately reflect His light to others. When Jesus died on the cross He gave all men light and everlasting life; in hell for those who do not submit to Him and in heaven for Christians.

We are the light to the world. Because we are Christians, we should not blend in with the world, as we so easily tend to. To reach others we don't have to be like them. In 1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." We are a chosen people. We will be different than the world if we are like Christ. We DO NOT have to be like the world to witness to them.

How To Make String Hearts

These hearts are easy to make and are great decorations for Valentines day or other holidays or every day!
What you need:
Hammer
Nails
Wood {Preferably sanded}
Printed or drawn pattern
Scissors
Yarn
Wood stain or finish {optional} I did not use the stain or finish.
First you lay your pattern on your wood and start hammering your nails around the edges.

When you are done hammering your nails around the edges take off your pattern.
Now you tie your string on the point of your heart and make sure you leave a tail.
Then you start crossing  your string form nail to nail making a criss-cross pattern.

Once every nail has been hooked you start going around the edges looping three or four nails at a time.
When all the edges have been covered you can keep going around until you like it.
.
Now go to the bottom point of the heart and cut and tie the ends
Cut the tied ends still leaving the knot.

Hope you like it!

How To Make a Paracord Braclet

These paracord bracelets are easy to make and most paracord can hold over 400 pounds!!
My wrist is 6 inches around, so I will need 6 feet of paracord to make my bracelet. Make sure when you measure your wrist to wrap the paracord loosely around.
First, measure your paracord and fold in half.
Then you put the loop side through a buckle and pull the rest of the cord through.
Then you and the next clip 6 inches out.

Repeat 1-4 alternating sides until you have reached the end!
You might have a couple inches left when you have reached the end so you can  cut the paracord and melt the ends with a lighter if you don't want the paracord to start unraveling.
Be careful not to burn yourself with the lighter or hot paracord!!

How To Make Magic Bars!

{picture of the regular ones, it will still look something like this}

This is a healthier recipe for the regular magic bars.
Yield: 18 small squares
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

What you Need:
1 1/2 cups raw pecans
12 medjool dates (pits removed)
1 cup vegan sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
3/4 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350.

In a food processor combine the pecans, sea salt and dates until you see the mixture clump together.

Line an 8/8 glass baking dish, with parchment paper. Make sure you leave enough paper to stick out the sides. Gently press the pecan mixture into the glass baking dish. Make sure the bottom of the baking dish is covered with the pecan mixture. Press down well.

Next, add the vegan sweetened condensed milk. Spread it all over the top of the pecan mixture. Lastly top the bars with the coconut, chips, or whatever else you like.

Use a fork to gently press the toppings into the condensed milk.

Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.
Wait until the mixture has completely cooled before removing from the baking dish and slicing into squares.
Store these bars in the fridge in an airtight container. I suggest placing a sheet or parchment paper in between each bar so they don't stick to each other. They should last a couple weeks in the fridge. You may even be able to freeze them. Enjoy!

Friendship Bracelet
Most friendship bracelets seem like they take forever to make,
well, here's one that's super quick, easy, and cute! Enjoy!

Take the string and fold it in half.

Have your BFF help you by twisting the end of the string one way as you twist the other. Go different ways.

Take both ends and it will automatically twist itself together. You may need to help it.

Tie off the ends and wear them till they break! ;)
